An AI employee for recruiting

The cost of a hiring pipeline is not the decisions, it is the administration around them — and the candidates who never hear back. Dutta’s Recruiting employee carries that load.

What it handles

Screens applicants. Reads every application against the criteria you wrote, summarises each candidate against them, and shows its reasoning so you can disagree with it.

Schedules interviews. Finds the slot across the panel’s calendars, sends the invitation with the brief attached, and handles the reschedules without a thread.

Keeps every candidate answered. Nobody sits in silence. Acknowledgements, status updates and decisions go out on time, in your words.

Keeps the ATS current. Stage changes, notes and outcomes land in your applicant tracking system as they happen, so the pipeline you look at is the real one.

A shift, in order

As applications arriveScreens against your criteria and writes a summary with its reasoning shown.
Same daySends acknowledgements, so no candidate waits without knowing where they stand.
On your shortlistBooks the panel, sends briefs, and absorbs the rescheduling.

What it can touch

An AI employee holds scoped credentials — read, write or send, per system — and nothing beyond its mandate. This role is typically granted:

  • Applicant tracking system — read and write
  • Calendars — read and write, for panel scheduling
  • Email — draft, and send for scheduling only

Where a person stays in the loop

Dutta prepares, drafts and flags; a person approves anything with consequences. For this role that normally means:

  • Every advance, reject and offer decision
  • Any change to the screening criteria
  • Anything written to a candidate about an outcome

Questions

Does it decide who gets hired? No, and it is deliberately built not to. Our terms prohibit using Dutta for automated decisions about people that require human judgement, hiring outcomes included. It summarises, schedules and drafts; a person decides.
How do we audit it for bias?Every screen is logged with its inputs, the criteria applied and the reasoning, and any run can be replayed. You can review the whole set rather than sampling.
Can it work our existing process? It works your criteria, your stages and your ATS. There is no onboarding period and no template to adopt.
